Candle Care
I would love you to enjoy your Powder Puff Candle
So please follow this care advice to help your candle burn evenly during its life.
Always
Trim your wick short before first use and throughout the lifespan of your candle, this helps prevent any 'mushrooming' that may occur during the burn.
When you light your candle for the first time allow the wax to melt across the entire surface. This can take three hours and will assist in the prevention of tunnelling and help maintain an even burn.
Once the wax reaches half way down your vessel, carefully monitor the burn time and extinguish the flame after 1 hour.
Always make sure that your wick is upright and trimmed short to about 7mm before use.
Stop burning when you get approximately 15mm of was from the bottom of the glass.
Avoid using in draft areas, near an open window, air duct or fan.
Keep away from children, pets and flammable materials.
If glass becomes blackened while burning extinguish the candle allow to cool and clean with dry paper towel.
Use a candle snuffer to properly extinguish the flame. If you don’t have a snuffer blow gently on the flame until extinguished.
Prevent soot from forming on the glass by keeping wicks in place and trimmed regularly.
After blowing out your candle ensure the wick in centred before wax hardens.
Always burn your candle on a heat resistance surface.
When not in use cover over or keep lid on to prevent dust build up.
Never
Never burn your candle for less than one hour or more than three hours at time.
Never move your burning candle. Ensure that light is out and wax is hard before doing so.
Glass may become hot during use. Never pick up a burning candle.
Never leave your candle unattended
Never use water to extinguish the flameDo not use lid to extinguish candle.
Never allow the candle flame to come in contact with side of the glass.
Do not use if glass is cracked, chipped or broken.
Never introduce liquids or foreign objects into candle.
Remember
Container candle burn times will vary.
Fragrance, burning habits and environmental conditions will affect the time your candle will last.
Soy wax candles can be sensitive, please store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive temperatures.
Reuse your Vessel
When you have finished burning your candle, simply wash out any left over soy wax with hot water and detergent to use for whatever you wish! Makeup brushes, cotton pads or tips, pen or pencils etc.
